Modern Raised Porcelain Patio Project in Glasgow

We completed this raised garden landscaping project in Glasgow to create a modern, low-maintenance outdoor space with clear levels and strong visual definition.

This garden needed a bit of reworking to get it right. The existing levels made the space awkward to use, so part of the job was rethinking the layout and raising the patio to improve flow between areas.

As with most raised designs, ensuring proper support and drainage was key to avoid movement or water build-up over time. The design features a large-format grey porcelain patio, raised to improve usability, with wide porcelain steps connecting the upper and lower areas.

Dark edge detailing was used to add sharp contrast and give everything a clean, contemporary finish. A gravel base was installed to support effective drainage and keep maintenance to a minimum, helping the patio perform well year-round in Scotland’s climate.
